SETTING
shizume city is a modernizing city on the eastern coast of honshu, japan. it boasts a high standard of living and passive-aggressive cleaning robots that you should most definitely not feed. what’s truly notable about shizume city, however, are probably the young people who run amok in the streets with supernatural abilities. under protocol 120, a key piece of legislation that was signed by the first gold king, certain domains are secured for the clans that remain under a king’s jurisdiction. trespassers are not tolerated without the expressed consent of the king. the areas are as follows:
homra bar – this two-story bar is the core of the red clan, located in the heart of downtown shizume. this establishment also receives regular patrons, but causing trouble here is not advised. even in the surrounding downtown area, the dominance of homra remains unquestioned, and in some cases, welcomed. crime rates are lower in the areas with greater proximity to the homra bar.
scepter4 headquarters – scepter4 is privy to a white, european-styled mansion, located just outside of the city center. the headquarters houses the most advanced technology available to any police force, and you probably won’t find a more secure holding center anywhere else (with the gold clan being a possible exception).
mihashira tower – this tower is under the jurisdiction of the gold clan, the supreme authority over those with supernatural abilities. it is a closely guarded (and best kept) secret that the dresden slate is located here. although the existence of scepter4 and the homra gangs is well known, nobody outside of the gold clan's circles are aware of the origins of the supernatural abilities.
keep to your own business, and you should be fine.
at the same time, one of the best high schools that japan has to offer is located off the coast of shizume city. ashinaka high retains its reputation for progressive learning and care for the wellbeing of its students. the school is only accessible by rail, and only those with student pdas are allowed to enter, making it a secure facility for students to spend their days.
of course, that’s certainly not discounting all the locales that shizume has to offer! look around, and you might just find something of interest. good luck!
