now | Euna yawned, and tapped her fingers impatiently. What had possessed her to volunteer for the graveyard shift? Maybe it was the extra pay, or maybe it was the free snacks. No matter. What mattered was that THE COFFEE MACHINE WAS BROKEN and Euna needed that extra boost of caffeine to keep awake the entire night. Morning. Whatever.
Anyways, the woman was sure that a lot more people were supposed to be working tonight, but the only people in the room besides her were the older, balding guy with glasses and some woman staring at her computer screen. Euna didn't know their names, but neither did she care. It was a helluva lot easier to not care about work when she didn't make attachments.
Euna sighed and pulled at the collar of her uniform. 'Sitting next to the coffee machine isn't going to fix it,' she thought, and grabbed a leftover donut from the table. While munching on the glazed dessert, she returned back to her desk and stared at the door, eyes glazed. She needed to liven up the place a little, but there wasn't much she could do about it...
Euna reached out for her dog-eared copy of some manga she had picked up at the convenience store, and began to page through with boredom. Ah, before the shift was over, she would dieeeee.....
As much as she hated to admit it, Euna almost wished her brother would magically appear so she could beat him up.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,10,true][atrb=style, width: 400px; padding: 5px, bTable][cs=2] TUG OF WAR, SWEET AS SIN I LET GO, I FELL IN | T here was nothing Hibiki loved more than the shifts at the very beginning of the day and the ones at the end. Commonly known as the "graveyard shift" by some of the employees, these were the shifts where Hibiki felt the most freedom...mostly because of the lack of work that came with it (not to mention the lack of nagging superiors and colleagues). Really, work at Scepter4 was just a way to pass time, and so far, he was succeeding; not a day had gone by when he hadn't thought at least once: Well, isn't this interesting? And indeed, Scepter4 was filled with many peculiar characters. The sky was dark, and the stars could hardly be seen through the lights of the city that shined brightly in the night sky. He had picked up a cup of coffee on his way to the office, as well as a boxed dinner set (This, he had decided, was something that would probably end up in the trash instead of his stomach) from the convenience store near his apartment. Nights in Shizume City ended up being quite chilly because of the proximity of the city to the ocean, and a shiver crawled down the bluenet's spine as he was hit with sudden warm air (the AC was on, but it was definitely warmer than it was outside) of the Scepter4 Headquarters. He shrugged off his trenchcoat, slowly making his way towards the office. Mildly wondering who would be in the office tonight, he grasped the handle of the wooden door and thrust it open with a loud bang! Hibiki put on a mischievous smile as he surveyed the room. An old balding guy, a woman, and...ah, Euna Kim. "Euna-chan!" Hibiki made his way over to his desk, placing the cup of coffee onto the table and flinging his coat over his chair. "I didn't know you'd be on tonight's shift," he adds amusedly. | [atrb=vAlign, top]TAGS Kim Euna WORDS 000 NOTES sorry for the crappy late reply asdfghjkl; and i figured he'd call her -chan because...it's Hibiki e.e |

now | Euna methodically polished off the remains of her donut and dusted the glaze off her hands. Propping her boot-covered feet on her desk, she turned a page on her manga and yawned. When she got home, she'd take a nice long bath, finish it off with a nap and -- BANG. Startled, the redhead looked up when she heard her name being crowed out. Hibiki was probably the one exception to the rest of the utterly boring Scepter4. Euna brightened up even more when she realized he had coffee.
She scooted over to his desk and ruffled his hair teasingly. "Ah, my darling kouhai," Euna greeted. "Mind if I?" she asked, snatching the cup of coffee on his table. Without waiting for a response, she gulped down the scalding liquid, and promptly let out a small yelp. The other Scepter4 woman working glared at her and Euna glared back. Alright, she admitted she was a bit childish sometimes.
Upon hearing Hibiki's question, she shrugged. "Neither did I," she commented. "I volunteered for the overtime pay," |
[/b] Euna added with a light smirk. The woman leaned on her elbow and sighed. "And what about you Hibiki-kun? What brings you here?"[/div] 198.
